Memorization is required at all three levels of the contest.

ON ALL LEVELS OF THE CONTEST (Local, Regional, National) THE CONTESTANT MUST SUBMIT THREE COPIES OF EACH OF THE TWO COMPOSITIONS TO BE PERFORMED (a total of six) WITH MEASURES NUMBERED FROM THE BEGINNING.

Contestants will be judged in the following categories:

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY 50%
INTERPRETATION 30%
MEMORIZATION 10%
STAGE PRESENCE 10%
